What an incredibly happy day! When I was going back through these wedding photos, all I could feel was JOY. I don't think I've attended another wedding where every single person was as blissfully happy as everyone at this one was. The couple photos, the wedding party, the looks on everyone's faces during toasts...you can FEEL how ecstatic everyone was to be there. This was my first time shooting at Hydrangea Blu in Rockford, Michigan and I really hope to get back there someday! This venue has amazing slate blue/grey barn, gorgeous fields and hills, and an orchard! There were endless spots for photos.
I'm normally drawn to black and white images, but this gallery screamed to be shared mainly in color. Between Morgan's hair, Jacob's suit, and the gorgeous bouquets color just kept winning for me. Morgan was such a vision with her red hair and lace sleeves. Jacob also looked incredible in his burgundy suit! Their colors were just too perfect for a fall wedding.
One of the most exciting parts of the day was the father/daughter dance! Morgan gave me a heads up that she and her dad would not be going the traditional route. They started off with a slow dance, but quickly transitioned to a complete choreographed routine to a bunch of upbeat songs! Then they slowed things back down for American solider (he's in the military--cue the tears!) and their guests were beyond impressed.
