I love branding sessions! My friend Shana booked this session to promote yoga sessions for her small business in mid Michigan. ZENlightment is a business in Alma, Michigan that promotes holistic wellness of all 7 dimensions: spiritual, physical, emotional, career, intellectual, environmental, and social. We wanted to keep those things in mind when posing and choosing compositions for these photographs. We tried to incorporate a variety of yoga poses and work nature in whenever possible. I'm a big fan of creative lighting and the way we can bend light to feel very spiritual so I used some prisms to work that in as well! We even lucked out with some koi fish painted on the street in Mount Pleasant. Shana was a trooper for these and was willing to go INTO the river for some shots which really made her feel one with nature!
