I'm a central Michigan photographer, storyteller, and educator. For me, photography is about connection. Whether that's within the frame or between subject and viewer. When I'm not behind the camera, I'm teaching photography at Alma College, mentoring other creatives, and falling ever more in love with light.

Senior portraits should tell the story of who you are and to do

that well, they can't look just like everyone else's. I love using creative ideas to preserve this time in your life. Everything is about to change and creating photos of your current loves, hobbies, and interests is a wonderful way to honor them.


Indoor photos can take place in my studio located in Ithaca, Michigan or I'm happy to help book the perfect spot! If you'd like outdoor photos I have a long list of places with the best light. Any combination of the two is always welcome.

where are you located?

I am based in Gratiot County, Michigan and happily travel!

are the travel expenses included?

Travel within the lower peninsula of Michigan is included in most collections. I travel further for an additional fee.

how long does it take to receive our photos?

Regular sessions are delivered within 2 weeks. Weddings are

delivered within 5-7 weeks depending on season, gallery size, and editing required.

 

can you recommend a good location?

YES! If you have a specific location in mind that's special to you, I am always excited to photograph new spots. If you'd like my guidance, I have locations I love all across Michigan.

"We have no idea how to pose so how do we end up with photos like these?"

No worries, almost no one does! Including all the people you see

here. I fully instruct you how to move (and what to do with your

hands) during the entire session. Your session will be a mix of still poses and prompts for moving to bring out your best.
